LOGISTICS JOB INSTRUCTIONS
I. General provisions
- This job description defines the functional duties, rights and responsibilities of a Logistician.
- The Logistician is appointed to the position and dismissed from the position in accordance with the procedure established by the current labor legislation by order of the director of the company.
- The Logistician reports directly to the director of the Company.
- The Logistician manages the logistics operations of the unit.
- The Logistician must be able to use a computer at the level of a confident user, including being able to use computer programs for accounting for goods.
- Logistician should be aware of:
- - Fundamentals of organizing warehouse management.
- - Cargo clearance rules.
- - Knowledge of the intricacies of primary documentation.
- - Standards for the conditions of transportation and packaging of goods.
- - Organization of work with documents, preparation of documentation.
- - Reporting procedure.
- - Internal labor regulations.
- During the absence of a Logistician (business trip, vacation, illness), his duties are performed by a person appointed by the director of the company in the prescribed manner, who acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.
II. Functional responsibilities
The functional responsibilities of the Accountant are determined on the basis and to the extent of the qualification characteristics for the position of the Accountant and can be supplemented, clarified when preparing the job description based on specific circumstances.
The Logistician should:
- Manage the movement of inventory items in the warehouse.
- Carry out the movement of inventory items between the company's warehouses.
- Manage the transportation of goods, determine the carrier of goods, based on the most efficient schemes of work of transport organizations and the most optimal modes of transport, transport tariffs, technical and operational, economic and cost indicators of transportation.
- Determine methods and schemes for optimizing transport and technological schemes for the delivery of goods.
- Ensure the conclusion of contracts for transportation, forwarding and other services related to the transportation of goods.
- Develop transportation plans.
- Organize the technological process of transportation (transfer of goods to carriers, control over the delivery of goods to consignees, coordination of loading and unloading operations).
- Ensure the document flow of the transport and technological process; analyze the quality of transportation and the timeliness of delivery of goods.
- Document management, control of contracts and invoices from counterparties, reporting.
- Driver coordination (including reception and control of vehicles used for operations).
- Timely inform the manager and customers about changes in shipments, prices and cooperation conditions.
- Provide required reporting in a timely and reliable manner.
- Constantly inform related branches / divisions / departments regarding changes in operation procedures, price changes and estimated delivery time of concrete shipments.
- Comply with the Internal Regulations of the organization.
III. Rights
The Logistician has the right:
- Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the organization's management regarding its activities.
- Require and receive all the information and documents necessary for the performance of their duties from the director of the Company and related branches / divisions / departments.
- Independently conduct correspondence with organizations on issues within its competence.
- Require the management of the organization to assist in the performance of their duties and the exercise of the rights provided for in this job description.
- Within the limits of their competence, sign and approve documents.
- Independently conduct correspondence with related branches / divisions / departments of the Company, as well as other organizations on issues within its competence.
- To improve his/her professional level.
IV. Responsibility
The Logistician is responsible for:
- For improper performance or non-performance of their duties under this job description - within the limits determined by the labor legislation of the Republic of Turkey.
- For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of the Republic of Turkey.
- For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of the Republic of Turkey.
- For the safety of trade secrets and confidential information about the company's activities.
- For the uninterrupted supply of products to the warehouse and customers.
- For making the optimal delivery schedule.
- For reducing the cost of cargo transportation.
- For the reliability and timeliness of the provision of established reporting forms.
V. Working conditions
- The mode of operation of the Accountant is determined in accordance with the Labor Contract.
- In case with the production need, the Accountant may be sent on business trips (including local ones).
